I love video games. I love software and technology. I love my wife. I love our cats. I’ll mostly be writing about the first two.
But before I do that, I’ll just say that we have two cats: Loki and Ares. Loki is just as mischievous as his namesake. Ares is a bit goofy, but he’s also the most adorable cat ever.
That out of the way, let’s get down to business. I’ve tried to write a blog / newsletter kind of thing once in the past, but I think my aim was a bit off. First of all I wrote in my native language (Finnish), and I tried to keep all the technical stuff too simplified. My background is software engineering, and when I look for information on the internet, I don’t want things too simply explained. I want the details. So that’s what I’ll try to bring this time, and in English.
Parts of this blog / newsletter will be available to paying subscribers only. My plan is to write multi-part posts, and most likely all of the first parts will be available for free, but to read the rest, you would need to have the paid subscription. There will also be single posts, and those will be case-per-case, whether they are free or not. I’ll try to post at least 2-4 times a month, but since Baldur’s Gate 3 is out now, I can’t promise anything.
This whole newsletter is an evolving thing, but the basic gist should stay the same.
I have plans to write at least about container technologies, software development in C++, Java, Javascript / Typescript, React, Unity, and other software and video games (new and retro) related topics. This won’t be a news site, but I’ll probably write about some current events as well.
We’ll be starting with containers in the coming posts.
Is some of the topics mentioned above, close to your heart? What would you like to read about?
The Quest begins!
